Check back often for nutrition tips that you can apply in your everyday life, such as how to get by when you’re forced to eat fast food….

When you’re forced to eat at KFC.

So recently while I was shooting the film Hog’s Tooth in San Francisco, I wasn’t able to stick to my regular diet. In fact, I had to eat out a few times and some of the places were fast food restaurants. I sat there at the KFC register trying to figure out the “healthiest” option on the menu that would A. fill me up and B. have a decent protein/carb/fat ratio. So afterwards, I went home and did a little research and this is what I came up with.

Kentucky Fried Chicken

My personal recommendation:

Grilled Chicken Breast and BBQ Baked Beans
With this meal, you get 430 calories, 48g of protein, 41g of carbs, and 8.5g of fat.

Some of the other decent options right off the menu at KFC:

KFC Tender Roast Sandwich (without sauce)
